Recognize the signs of a stroke

Act F.A.S.T. and help save a life.

Battle Stroke equips students, families, and communities with a simple way to spot stroke symptoms quickly and respond with urgency.

  • Simple education anyone can remember
  • Accessible guidance for schools and community groups
  • Urgent call to seek emergency care immediately

The F.A.S.T. method

Four simple checks. One urgent response.

The F.A.S.T. acronym makes it easier to remember the most common warning signs of stroke and what to do next.

Face Drooping

Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop or feel numb?

Arm Weakness

Ask them to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?

Speech Difficulty

Ask them to repeat a simple sentence. Is speech slurred or hard to understand?

Time to Call 911

If you notice any of these signs, call 911 right away. Every minute matters.
